My Lady Cullen
for a line of as many couples as will.
This dance is a continuous progressive dance which requires 3*(n-1) repeats (less the continuous factor) for each of the three figures, plus one repeat for the intro figure. 3 couples = 19 repeats, 4 = 27, 5 = 34.
Reconstructed by Dafydd Cyhoeddwr.
Music: Incantare by Musica Subterranea, The English Dancing Master disc 1 by Orange and Blue, and the Ranchers.  Neither of these actually have enough repeats, but such is the lot of the "as many as will" dance.
Intro figure:
1&2: Lead up a double, fall back a double.
3&4: That again.
5&6: Set and turn single (left).
7&8: Set and turn single (right).
First figure:
1&2: Active couple cross over, go around behind the passive couple and into their position (they move up a bit), then change back across to the proper side of the set.
Note:  This is the progressive bit.
3&4: Active couple double forward between passive couple and take them in a line abreast to the presence, fall back into place.
5&6: Right hands across and go all the way around the circle.
7&8: Left hands across and go all the way around the circle.
Do this figure until you come back to your places, sitting out at the top and bottom and coming back in as the opposite type.
Whether you wait until the entire line is back in place to start the second figure, or just the first and second couples, is up to the agreement of the moment.
Second figure:
1&2: Active couple casts off and falls into the passive couple's place, then slips up to stand between the passive couple, man in front of the man, woman in front of the woman.
3&4: Passive couple does the same, ending up between the active couple (who have made room).
5: Passive couple takes hands and slips up a double while the active couple slips down a double, taking hands when they can.
Note:  This is the progressive bit.
6: Still holding both hands, the active and passive couples slip closer together.
7&8: Set and turn (left) to your partner.
Ditto the comment for the first figure.
Third figure:
1&2: Active couple cross over, go around behind the passive couple and into their position (they move up a bit), then change back across to the proper side of the set.
Note:  This is the progressive bit.
3&4: Active couple double forward between passive couple and take them in a line abreast to the presence, fall back into place.
5&6: Face your partner and clap once, then the men arm and the women arm (left).
7&8: Arm with your partner (right).
Comments still stand, except that once you're back where you started, you're done.
