Verse 1, Part A
1: Lead up a double.
2: Fall back a double.
3&4: Set [and turn, left]
Verse 1, Part B
1: Lead up a double.
2: Fall back a double.
3&4: Set [and turn, right]
Chorus 1, Part A
1: Couples one and four meet [couples two and three slip out to make room, the men in one direction, the women in the other - note that the set is now "horizontal" rather than "vertical"]
2: Couples one and four turn back to back (toward your partner).
3&4: Couples one and four "cast" off and go around where the person from the middle couples on your side was standing, that person following; return to where you cast off from.
Ex: man 1 casts and goes around where man 2 was, who is following him as they both circle to place.
{First Cu. and last meet, turn back to back, cast off, and going on the outside, the other four come to your places on the inside,}
Chorus 1, Part B
1: Men two and three meet women two and three [couples one and four slip up into their normal places to make room]
2: Couples two and three turn back to back [turn toward your partner].
3&4: Couples two and three "cast" and go outside of couples one and four, leading their person around and back to place.

Verse 2, Part A
1&2: Everyone take hands backwards and circle half way around to the right.
3&4: Set [and turn, left]
Verse 2, Part B
1&2: Everyone take hands backwards and circle left to place.
3&4: Set [and turn, right]
Chorus 2, Part A
1: Couples one and four meet [couples two and three stepping back a double to leave room].
2: Couples one and four turn back to back (toward your partner).
3&4: Take hands in a backwards circle and go all the way around, remaining in the middle of the set at the end
{First Cu. and last meet, turn back to back, cast off, hands backward round to your places}
Chorus 2, Part B
1: Men two and three meet women two and three [couples one and four moving back into their starting positions to make room].
2: Couples two and three turn back to back.
3&4: Take hands in a backwards circle and go all the way around [you will be in place at the end]

Part 3
Verse 3, Part A
1: Change places with your partner by both hands.
2: Man 1 and man 2, woman 1 and woman 2, man 3 and man 4, woman 3 and woman 4, all change places at the same time [by both hands - the manuscript does not say, unlike the first part].
3&4: Set [and turn, left]
Verse 3, Part B
1: Change places with your partner by both hands.
2: Men 1 and 2, women 1 and 2, men 3 and 4, women 3 and 4 change places.
3&4: Set [and turn, right]
Chorus 3, Part A
1: Couples one and four meet, couples two and three stepping back a double to leave room.
2: Couples one and four clap hands (maybe once with self and once with opposite).
3&4: Couples one and four give right hands across and go all the way around and back to places.
