Part 1
Verse 1, Part A
1: Couple 1 lead in a double
2: Couple 1 cast off and circle to your places, man 1 between couple 2, and woman 1 between couple 4
3: Couple 3 lead in a double
4: Couple 3 cast off and circle to your places, man 3 between couple 4 and woman 3 between couple 2
Verse 1, Part B
1: Couple 2 lead in a double
2: Couple 2 cast off and circle to your places, man 2 between couple 3 and woman 2 between couple 1
3: Couple 4 lead in a double
4: Couple 4 cast off and circle to your places, man 4 between couple 1 and woman 4 between couple 3
Chorus 1, Part A
1: Man 1 and man 3 change places across the middle of the square (don't go all the way to the other's places, though)
2: Woman 1 and woman 3 change places the same
3&4: Couples 1 and 3 take hands around (or across) and circle back to your places in two doubles, falling back into the square at the end
Chorus 1, Part B
1: Man 2 and 4 change places across the middle, as above
2: Woman 2 and 4 change places the same
3&4: Couples 2 and 4 take hands around (or across) and circle back to your places in two doubles. Note: as they fall back into the square, stand so that the men are behind the women.
Part 2
Verse 2, Part A
1&2: Couples 1 and 3 will switch places as follows: Couple 1 will split and man 1 will pass through couple 2 as they stand perpendicular to his path, woman 1 passing through couple 4; couple 3 just walks through the middle of the square
3&4: Switch back with couple 3 passing through the evens, and couple 1 walking through the middle Note: end up with the men behind the women, as the evens did
Verse 2, Part B
1&2: Couples 2 and 4 switch with couple 2 passing through the odds while couple 4 walks through the middle
3&4: Switch back with couple 4 passing through the odds as couple 2 walks through the middle. Note: return to the man-behind position at the end
Chorus 2, Part A
1-4: The odds hey in the line they are standing in, the women starting, completing the full exchange twice if possible. At the end, return to the normal square positioning.
Chorus 2, Part B
1-4: The evens hey as the odds did, and return to the normal square positioning at the end
Part 3
Verse 3, Part A
1&2: All of the men cast off behind their partner and circle into the man's spot one place to the right
3&4: All of the women do the same, casting off behind the person next to them into the woman's spot one place to their left
Verse 3, Part B
1&2: Men cast off again, ending up on the opposite side of the square from where they started
3&4: Women do the same, ending up with their partner
Chorus 3, Part A
1&2: Couples 1 and 3 do-si-do each other, passing right shoulders, ending up right in front of each other in the middle of the square
3: Change places by the right hand with your corner
4: Change places with your partner by the left hand and fall back into your starting positions in the square
Chorus 3, Part B
1&2: Couples 2 and 4 do-si-do each other, passing right shoulders, ending up right in front of each other in the middle of the square
3: Change places by the right hand with your corner
4: Change places with your partner by the left hand and fall back into your starting positions in the square
