In Rio de Janeiro the average temperature range is 73 to 84 F in January and 63 to 75 F in July.
It rains an average of 43" each year.
Most of the coastal plain is tropical but ocean winds have an effect on the high temperatures and humidity. They get 40-90" of rain each year.
The south region of Brazil gets sharp seasonal variations. Winter temperatures are 22 F and frost is common. They get less precipitation (40" each year) in the southern coastal belt.
