Installation |
-
First create a Rotomotion
directory under your computer's C drive. There is no setup
executable on the CD, so you must copy the contents of the CD to the
Rotomotion directory.
-
Navigate to the
C:\Rotomotion\win32 directory and create a
shortcut to the ground.exe file by right-clicking on it.
-
After creating the shortcut,
right-click on it and go to Properties. In the target
box after "C:\Rotomotion\win32\ground.exe",
add the helicopter's IP address and name of the log file:

-
Finally, place the shortcut on
your desktop or somewhere that's easily accessible.
-
If preferred, you can also
start the ground station software through the command window
interface.

| Starting the Simulator |
|
-
To start the ground control
station without any hardware, open up four command prompt windows.
Navigate to the win32 directory in all four windows.
-
Open heli-sim.exe in window 1;
open heli-3d.exe in window 2; open ground.exe in window 3; and open
hover.exe in window 4.
-
Now, you can use the ground
control station as if you were to out in the field. If you
want to simulate flyto commands, open up a fifth command prompt
window.
