Software Installation
  1. First create a Rotomotion directory under your computer's C drive.  There is no setup executable on the CD, so you must copy the contents of the CD to the Rotomotion directory.

  2. Navigate to the C:\Rotomotion\win32 directory and create a shortcut to the ground.exe file by right-clicking on it.

  3. After creating the shortcut, right-click on it and go to Properties.  In the target box after "C:\Rotomotion\win32\ground.exe", add the helicopter's IP address and name of the log file:

  1. Finally, place the shortcut on your desktop or somewhere that's easily accessible.

  2. If preferred, you can also start the ground station software through the command window interface.

Starting the Simulator
  1. To start the ground control station without any hardware, open up four command prompt windows.  Navigate to the win32 directory in all four windows.

  2. Open heli-sim.exe in window 1; open heli-3d.exe in window 2; open ground.exe in window 3; and open hover.exe in window 4.

  3. Now, you can use the ground control station as if you were to out in the field.  If you want to simulate flyto commands, open up a fifth command prompt window.
