Under Construction--please return again soon!

This page is reserved for the classic/golden age mystery webliography and the Victorian/early 20th C. British ghost story webliography (by no means comprehensive but just some good anthologies and some out of print books that I've always wanted to put in one place so I can have a reference of what I've read and what I want to read--one that I can share with any interested parties!)

However, until I get my act together, please visit the following site for classic/golden age mysteries: A Guide to Classic Mystery and Detection. This site is fairly comprehensive and because it exists I will not even try to imitate it with mine; I'll just cite some good books and you can refer to the Guide for details. Also, if you are a John Dickson Carr (Carter Dickson) fan, please check out the   John Dickson Carr Complete Bibliography site. I like John Dickson Carr but his work can be inconsistent. This site gives summaries of all of his novels and gives a critique of the quality of the work. A lot of the novels are out of print but there is nothing like Bookfinder.com or your local library's Interlibrary Loan department for getting those hard-to-find books!
