Women's Cognitive Health Research Group

About us

Our Focus

The Women's Cognitive Health Research Group at Drexel University investigates variation in brain functioning through the influence of sex and gender, the menstrual cycle, genetics/handedness, experience and culture. We also seek to understand the neuropsychological issues which have been understudied and/or are unique to women.

Our Research Group

The Women’s Cognitive Health Research Group is led by clinical neuropsychologist Mary Spiers.  Team members include Elizabeth D'Andrea., Kate Kniele, Kirsten Mohn, Karen Friedman and Maiko Sakamoto. Team members are current or former students in Drexel University's Ph.D or master's. programs in clinical psychology and specialize in clinical neuropsychology. We welcome researchers, graduate and undergraduate students to contact us. Contact Dr. Spiers at spiersm@drexel.edu.

The Women’s Cognitive Health Research Group gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Institute for the Humanities and the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University.
