| Objective: | Currently the SONY AIBO ER7-M3 comes with an Entertainment Player which allows a user to remotely control the AIBO and view a video feed. However, the Entertainment Player uses primitive commands to control the AIBO (i.e. Move forward, backwards, left and right). The goal of our project is to create a more "intelligent" interface for users to interact with the AIBOs. We will design this interface to allow for not just primitive movement commands, but also a sophisticated point and click movement system using image processing, path planning, and obstacle avoidence technology to move the AIBO to a user specified target. For universal yet secure access, this interface will be located on a web server that will allow the AIBO's owner to control the robot from anywhere with an internet connection. |
