Call for Papers

Papers are being solicited for a special track on Neural Network Applications at the 15th International FLAIRS Conference (FLAIRS-2002). The special track will be devoted to the applications of Neural Networks with the aim of presenting new and important contributions in this area. These application areas include, but are not limited to, the following:

Submission Guidelines

Interested authors must submit completed manuscripts by November 23, 2001. Submissions should be no more than 5 pages (3400 words) in length, including figures, and contain no identifying reference to self or organization.  Papers should be formatted according to AAAI Guidelines. Please submit one separate page in HTML containing the title of your paper, author name(s) and contact information  (fax, e-mail, postal mail, and phone), an abstract (max. 100 words), and a list of keywords (in decreasing relevance).  In case of multiple authors, all correspondence will be sent to the first author unless otherwise specified.  Submissions should be sent electronically to Brian Carse at Brian.Carse@uwe.ac.uk  The recommended format is Microsoft Word or Postscript.  Please include all files in a ZIP archive.  Paper (hardcopy) submissions (5 copies) are acceptable, if the electronic format poses problems.  Please notify one of the special track chairs at irussell@mail.hartford.edu, Brian.Carse@uwe.ac.uk or Anthony.Pipe@uwe.ac.uk if you plan to submit a hardcopy.

Papers will be refereed and those accepted for presentation will appear in the conference proceedings. Notification of acceptance will be mailed around January 14, 2002. Authors of accepted papers will be expected to submit the final camera-ready copies of their full papers by February 15, 2002 for publication in the conference proceedings which will be published by AAAI Press. Authors may be invited to submit a revised copy of their paper to a special issue of an international AI journal.
