Early developments perfume to paint gun

Joseph Binks invented the First Spray machine was invented in 1893 

Thomas DeVilbiss Conventional spray was adapted from a perfume atomizer in 1907

First Binks Hand Spray Gun in 1920

 

In 1934 the Binks Model 7 was launched

Variations of the Model 7 are still in production

 

 

Russell Gray developed the first pneumatic grease gun in 1928

 

Gray Company developed it’s first paint pump in 1948, followed by the development of the airless spray gun in 1957 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Electroststic Spray was developed by Harold Ransburg in 1938

 

 

 

 

Predecessors powered by vacuum cleaners were around in the 1950's

 

HVLP was officially developed in 1971
