KITE 2001-2002 Work Folder

For this Spring 2002 quarter, a weekly work schedule and the grading each work is worth has been defined. The schedule gives all details.

Week 04 Summary:

Bill's video streaming demo. If server is running, live views of the lab can be seen.
Bill's 1st draft web page tutorial on video streaming is on-line.

Beverly's car trouble necessitates demonstrating her altimeter by 04/19/02. Nate's UAV research must now be filtered into his Excel table. Marc didn't show up.

Week 05 Summary: Beverly constructed an altimeter circuit and will test its performance shortly.

Bill collected edge detection image processing references. The theory is explained in cannyEdgeDetector.pdf.

Nathan composed a table comparing 5 different types of flight vehicles with aerial image acquisition potential. His work will help next year's team construct a flight vehicle.

Bill (and Marc?) met with Prof. Hicks regarding mosaicking. Beverly troubleshooting altimeter and looking into elliptical pendulums to potentially explain Picavet underpinings. Nate submitted a write up on his discussions on the Vectron's mass-to-RPM properties with Dr. Youseff. Nate also submitted Flying height versus Payload Weight data on the Vectron. Dr. Youseff concurs on Nate's summary and the equations Nate extracted.
