Letter from the Editor
Dear Readers,
This issue of Artsline focuses on Institutional Memory. This is a topic which has been close to the front of my mind lately as I prepare to turn Artsline over to my successor in the Fall term. In keeping with this theme, Cory Miller wrote an article based on her interview with Nancy Kolb of the Please Touch Museum.
The past term has also been a busy one for the AAGA. Quiana Clark-Roland talks about Arts Advocacy Day, a national advocacy event which 14 Drexel Arts Administration graduate students were able to attend this year. The AAGA Spring Speaker Series this year featured Ben Cameron, Program Director for the Arts at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. A brief summary of his presentation is also in this issue, and you can listen to his podcast here on the Artsline website. Just click the link in the sidebar. Finally, the new AAGA Board was recently elected, and I am looking forward to what they will be able to accomplish in the coming year.
As this is my last issue as editor of Artsline, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed to Artsline over the past year. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Professor Ximena Varela, who has been both a guide an an invaluable resource throughout this endeavor.
As always, I encourage all of you to continue to keep Artsline updated on your successes and accomplishments.
- Sarah Ellison
