I'm a doctoral student of the Information School at Drexel. I’m in my 4th year in the program and in the stage of working on my dissertation proposal. My current goal is to graduate! Soon!! :p My research interests include:

·       Information behavior of small groups: How people in a small group collaborating on a problem solving task negotiate, construct information needs, how they seek information and make use of discovered information to their problem situation.

·       Design of Online Resources (Digital Libraries): How online resources can be designed to support users’ broader context of information use, particularly, their learning activities and social information practice.

·       Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL): How can we understand collaborative learning in virtual environments and how can information resources be integrated into the instructional environment to support learner’s needs.

I have been involved in the Virtual Math Teams (VMT) research project, a five-year project funded by the NSF, with Dr. Gerry Stahl as the Principle Investigator. At VMT, we investigate the use of online environments to encourage students to discuss and enjoy learning math together.

Check out my publications if you’re interested in knowing more about my research work.

Prior to Drexel, I did my Master from School of Information Management & Systems (SIMS) (now i school) at the University of California at Berkeley.
