Hi! Everyone....
These are the poems I wrote.  I started composing poems since I was 10 yrs old.
I used to win prizes for them at school.  Below are some of my favorite poems I
pulled out from my file (I did not win
all of them, but they are certainly my favorite).  Some are humorous, some I wrote
after watching a tragedy movie! and so on.  They mostly represent my emotions.
Hope you all will like it too....
Love-Nichu

Guess My Name
'Guess My Name' is the first poem I wrote when I was 10.

My Name is in Nature
But Not In Pasture

My Name is in Invent
But not in a Tent

My Name Is in Juice
But Not in Shoes

My name is in Adamant
But Not in Demand

So guess my Name?

!?! Life !?!

Ups & Downs, Never a Soft Bed Of Roses!

It Puts Us Thru Tests OF Emotion ~
Handle Them With Care..

Throws Us In A Fire Of Depression ~
Control Them With Anchor!

Inevitably, Compromises with gifts Of Happiness ~
Cherish Them With Pride

Nevertheless! It Surprises Us With Enormous Failures ~
Accept them with A Happy Knowledge --
Pain & Suffering Makes Better People Of Us.
Gives Strength For Endurance & Struggle through A
Road To Success!

Songs From The Grave
(I wrote this one when I was In The Tenth Grade during one English Class.
The topic was SHAKESPEARE!)

HERE, SHE LIES IN HER GRAVE,

FUMING TO TUNES OF OUTER WORLD,

WITH NO FRIENDS TO SAVE.

AND WITH A MIND SO BOLD,

SHE WISHES ATTENTION OF BIRDS & BEES.

TRYING TO EXPLAIN,

LADY BIRDS & TREES.

"OH! SOUTH WIND, WON'T YOU HEED?

AND I'D LIKE MY ETERNAL FRIENDS TO GET SWAYED,

TO A WOEFUL TALE, I'VE GOT TO TELL"

I WAS CHEERFUL, WHEN ALIVE,

WITH LOTS OF FUN AND ENCHANTMENT AROUND,

CRAZY DAYS

WITH FRIENDS AND MYSELF.

WE'D GO FOR NATURE WALKS,

TO CHERISH,  SUNNY DAYS AND MEADOWS.

BUT ALAS! THE FATEFUL DAY  CAME,

WHEN ENGLISH PROF DISCUSSED SHAKESPEARE

BEARING FOR AN HOUR,

 I FELL BREATHLESS.

FOR ME THE REASON IS UNCLEAR.

THERE, THE PEOPLE GAVE A CRY,

AND CALLED FOR HELP TO DR. DRY.

BUT HE EXCLAIMED; SOLEMNLY,

MY VERDICT IS TO PRONOUNCE HER, DEAD,

COZ, I GUESS SHE WAS BORED TO DEATH!

I WAS LAID ON MY ETERNAL BED,

& NOW HERE I LIE,

WISHING HARD TO NAIL THIS GUY,

COZ, HE BORED ME TO DEATH!!"

Dream Of A Slave
(I wrote this soon after I saw 'Kaala Pani'-The sufferings of all the
Indian Slaves/Prisoners Under British Rule)

THERE HE LAY ON THE SAND,

SUN BEAT DOWN ON HIM WHILE HE THOUGHT-

 LIFE IS A TERROR,

YES, HIS HEART WAS CERTAIN,

COZ HE LEARNT IT BY  PASSING YEARS,

 YEARS HE STRIVED,

 Endless CRUEL Days HE ENDURED,

THE YEARS HE EXPERIENCED BITTERNESS

LEAST HE ENJOYED -  SWEETNESS OF HAPPINESS OR PEACE

HE HAD THOSE WONDERFUL DREAMS,

FULL OF FREEDOM & TRANQUILITY.

THOSE  DREAMS OF LILIES & ROSES,

BUTTERFLIES & BEES.

ALL OF THEM SURROUNDED HIM,

LETTING NOT A THORN TO TOUCH,

THEY SURROUNDED & HAILED HIM LIKE A PRINCE.

A PRINCE WHO HAD FREEDOM AND LOVE,

THAT GREW & GREW.

IT GREW AND TOUCHED THE SKY

WITH BLUE BELLS RINGING ALL AROUND,

RAINBOW  COLORS THAT

ENHANCED IT  WITH AN EVER SHINING GLITTER

LITTLE DID HE KNOW,

DREAMS SHATTER,

FOR HIS MIND WAS FLOODED

WITH  OPULENT FANTASY.

ALAS! HE REALIZED, ITS SHATTERED!

ALL OF THEM SHATTERED!!

ITS NO MORE LILIES & ROSES,

BUT THE THORNS & ITS BRANCHES.

HE HOPED,  HE SHOULD NEVER BE BORN

TO THIS WORLD OF CRUELTY,

FOR HIS SADNESS KNEW NO BOUNDS

FULL OF AGONY WAS HE,

A LITTLE LATER,

THE PERSPIRING  FOREHEAD HE WIPED,

HARDENING HIS HEART,

SUPPRESSING HIS FEAR,

HIDING HIS ANGER,

HE DECIDED, A TERRIBLE DECISION.

HE GOT UP & PROCEEDED,

THE HELPLESS CRIES OF INSTINCT HE IGNORED,

AS HE CONTINUED, THE FRIEND HE MET,

EMBRACING THE TRUE FRIEND, HE WENT,

FAR AWAY HE  WENT,

INTO THE LIFE OF  ETERNITY.

HE SUFFERED NO REGRETS

NO PAINS & NO WORRIES

EVER AGAIN….
