Coaching Staff


Head Coach:  Megan Kennedy'92

After graduating from the Mount in 1992, Megan was a coxswain for the Men's Varsity program at Drexel University until 1997.  After graduating from Drexel, she was a member of Bachelor's Barge Club and coxswain for their Men's Masters Eight.  Megan has been the Head Coach for Mount Crew since its recent formation as a large sweep program in the winter of 2000.  She also now coxes for the Fairmount Rowing Association masters.

In her spare time Megan works at MHCC.

Varsity Coach:  Mike "Stubbs" McKenna

Mike was a member of the 1972 Dad Vail gold member four+ at Drexel University and also coached one of the two other Dad Vail gold medal winning men’s crew in Drexel's history.  He is also a member of the Drexel University Athletic Hall of Fame.  Mike comes to the Mount with 10 years of crew coaching experience.  He is nothing short of a "living legend" along Boathouse Row and is a member of Fairmount Rowing Association, where he still rows almost every morning.

In his spare time he is Project Manager.


Novice  Coach:  Stuart Chase

Stuart Chase was a National Champion coxswain at Lower Merion High School, and continued a successful coxing career at the University of Pittsburgh (class of 1995).  Stuart joined the Mount Crew staff in 2004 as our Novice Coach, after coaching at LaSalle University.  Stuart is also an IRONMAN!


Assistant Coach:  Sheila Dyer

Sheila graduated from Merion Mercy Academy in 1999, where she played soccer and was a swimmer.  Sheila graduated in 2003 from the University of New Hampshire, where she rowed for four years in Division 1 Varsity program.  Sheila was the conditioning Coach at the Main Line YMCA in the winter of 2005 and coached at Merion Mercy Academy in their inaugural season in the spring of 2005.  Sheila joined the Mount coaching staff in the winter of 2006.


Assistant Coach:  Lauren Bair ‘98

After graduating from the Mount in 1998, Lauren was a member of the Cross-Country and Track teams and later joined the Crew team at Saint Joseph’s University. Lauren is also a Certified Personal Trainer and currently works as one of the Mount’s Strength Coaches.  An avid runner, she continues to compete in long distance races.  In her spare time, she is a Paralegal at a Foreclosure Law firm in Center City.


Assistant Coach:  Joe Blickley

Joe Blickley was a coxswain for La Salle College High School and La Salle College, and has coxed for many nationally recognized programs.  Joe joined the Mount Crew staff in 2006.
