Dr. Susan Kilham is an aquatic ecologist and has been a faculty member at Drexel University since 1991.  Her early interests were in marine biology and she received her undergraduate degree from Eckerd College in Florida, her PhD from Duke University in Zoology/Oceanography, and did postdoctoral work at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.  After moving to the University of Michigan, where she was for 18 years, she started working on the Great Lakes and has worked in freshwater systems ever since.  Principal themes of her research are physiology of algae, food web studies, watersheds, and climate change.
