This page will provide you with information about my previous jobs in greater detail than is available on my resume.  Also noteworthy is my mastery of the computer applications listed to the right:

My most recent professional experience was working for Furman Roth Advertising, Inc., based in the heart of midtown Manhattan.  I spent my first 3 months here working full time, 50 hours a week, but was forced to cut back to 30 hours when in January when I started taking some classes at Hunter College.  Here I was a vital cog in an office of roughly 10 people at an agency that has been around for over 50 years and generates over $40 million of ad revenue annually.  A large portion of my time was devoted towards assisting the CFO with client billing and company payroll and bookkeeping.  However, as I grew in my role and my talents were noticed, I was given additional responsibilities such as maintaining databases of client invoices and create spreadsheets to better record such information.  My job expanded further to encompass working with radio stations, magazines, and newspapers to ensure that ads, contracts, orders, and contacts were correct and upheld.  I highly value my time spent here as it taught me how to handle multiple responsibilities, balance my time effectively and efficiently, and gave me an excellent sense of what it was like to work full time for an extended period of time in "the real world", as we college students like to refer to it.

Over the summer following my second year and departure from the University of Rochester, I signed on to work for a relatively new mortgage company located in Staten Island, NY.  Although small, Solution Capital LLC afforded me opportunities to get firsthand experience that would not have been at my disposal had I worked for a larger company.  I spoke with and recruited potential clients, maintained relations with current clients, and placed numerous loans with the proper bank based on careful evaluation of credit reports, income status, and clients' needs and desires.  Working in the real estate industry exposed me to the world of financial markets, augmented my aptitude for making both qualitative and quantitative decisions, and cemented my ability to interact with clients.

During my second year of study at the University of Rochester, I was enrolled in an advanced marketing course through the University's business school.  This course split the students into teams of 3 and partnered them with a local organization for intensive marketing work.  My team was assigned to help the Memorial Art Gallery solve its growing problem of lapsed members.  We did thorough data collection from both primary and secondary sources through surveys, phone conversations, and interviews with members and staff in the Gallery.  Our work culminated with a 40-plus page marketing report complemented by a PowerPoint presentation summarizing our findings and recommendations for the future.  This project developed my ability to work professionally in a team, and helped me understand how to assess and evaluate an organization from a non-bias perspective.

My first experience working in a business environment was at Vector Marketing Corporation in Manhattan.  I worked here during the winter vacation of my first year at the University of Rochester (2001-2002) and continued my employment over the summer following the school year.  I earned the title of field sales leader by selling over $16,000 of high quality cutlery and house wares.  Additionally, I spent a great portion of my time helping our local branch grow by advertising and recruiting new employees, interviewing potential candidates, and training new co-workers both in the office and out in the field.  This experience allowed me to develop people from the initial stage of recruitment all the way through to their own sales achievements.  It was here that I first gained an understanding for how the business world functioned.
