Candy Pacifiers

Plastic baby bottles or carriages look cute when wrapped up with tulle, but they can be expensive and have little use once taken home. Why not make a favor that is much cheaper, more clever and can double as a unique sweet?

Candy pacifiers are fun, easy and inexpensive to make. They also don't take long to make and they provide the guests with extra sweets. To make candy pacifiers you will need pins, ribbon, life savers, gum drops, white nonpareils (or similar candies) and scissors. You may have to patronize a fancy or specialized candy store to find the nonpareils. The other candies can be found in the average grocery store.

The first step is tying the ribbon around the lifesaver. Once you accomplish this, you can slide the pin up through the knot you created.

The next step simply involves placing the nonpareil on the pin.

To finish the pacifier, slide the gumdrop on the pin. If you have excess ribbon then you can trim it with the scissors. Now you're ready to serve the favors. Just make sure to warn your guests that the pacifers are held together with pins!
