Rather than having to rely on heavy delivery systems with sufficient throwing power to penetrate modern armor plate such vehicles can be rendered deaf, dumb and blind by blanketing a portion of such vehicles with a rigid polymeric foam with dispersed metallic flakes. Such blanketed tactical vehicles would be ineffectual as a threat, and would have to be abandoned by their crew. In response to the development of modern armored plate the throwing weight required to penetrate tactical armored vehicles has increased roughly in proportion to the effectiveness of advanced armor plate. In consequence of this requirement for higher throwing weights delivery systems can now exceed the maximum weight allowances for personal infantry weapons, rendering most personal anti-armor weapons largely ineffectual. Equally important, rather than relying on defensive measures out of the field commander's direct control, such as aerial weapon platforms against threatening tactical vehicles, the field commander can maintain effective control of the defensive capabilities of his forces.
