T
is site was design as a final project for an HTML class
and should not be used for educational or research purposes - just enjoy the pictures!
Frankly, I wanted to do much more with this site. Originally, I wanted more factual text about Prague and its attractions. I wanted more internal links. However, when I got down to coding, my first time coding an entire website, I realized how time-consuming and confusing HTML can be. I had to scale back from my ambitious original ideas because time and my patience would not allow me to do them.
I am pleased that I know more HTML now than I did before taking this class and creating this site. Through a ton of trial and a lot of error, migraines, and frustration,
I learned how to put a simple site together using CSS and publish it to the web. I’m happy that I was able to achieve a parchment background. I like how this background, the font color, borders, and photos all complement one another.
I’m pleased with the overall look of the site. As I got more comfortable with HTML, I began to enjoy this process.
As I mentioned before, I wanted there to be more. One thing I was not able to figure out,
despite consulting many charts on the topic, was how to achieve the Czech accent marks. If anyone knows how to do this,
please e-mail me. Please e-mail me, too, if you have any comments about this site or stories about Prague.
There is still much to discover about HTML and Prague!
