Why did you join the NAACP?
Camille expressed interest in re-activating the NAACP College Chapter at Drexel three years ago. I thought it would be a great opportunity for myself and Drexel Students so I decided to become a member and sit on the executive board.

What is a major problem on campus today (besides the Drexel Shaft)? .
The students lack of knowledge and involvement concerning the continue changes that are being made on this campus.

How can we strengthen the unity of minority students on campus?
Coming together as a people, not just for parties, but also in to learn more about ourselves, each other, and the world we live in. This is one of the objectives the NAACP will try to achieve this academic year.

Does racism and discrimination still exist on Drexel's campus?
Yes, racism and discrimination exist, it always has exist and always will exist. We as individuals should be aware of the problem of racism and discrimination but don't not let it consume or overwhelm us.

Why should people join the NAACP?
I think all students should be a member of at least two different types of student organization. The NAACP should be one of them because I our group does not just have one purpose. If you desire to do something in the community, or with education, or politics, or interested in entertainment the NAACP can give you the opportunity to put your thoughts and ideas in motion.

Is the "man" keeping you down?
I do believe that the "man", "government", "men in power" do not want certain groups of people to reach their full potential. I also feel that urgency, and desperation does not exist as it did 50 years ago. The main force that is not allowing people to prosper as they should is the lack of knowledge, awareness, and confidence. Just not knowing all the world has to offer and how to obtain it.

What do you plan to do after graduation?
I am not sure if I want to continue my schooling or work. So I plan to apply for graduate school were I will get my degree in economics and political science. I will also interview for various companies. What ever presents me with the best opportunity for me at the time is what I will decide to do.

Anything you would like to say to anyone reading this?
Don't fight change, embrace it, always keep an open mind, never going against your morals, you will be a better person for it. Don't let your emotions control you, they come and go.

What do you do as secretary?
Shall give due notice of all meetings of the College Chapter and Executive Committee, keep full and accurate records of all proceedings, keep a record of all members and their dues, to give receipts for all membership fees received and to transmit such memberships received to the National Office. To submit reports to the group at regular meetings, to submit the annual report on the status of activities of the group. To keep the Youth Field Director and National Youth Director informed of all events affecting the interest of the youth in the vicinity of the group. shall be an ex-officio member of all committees.
