Math Bytes is a Graduate Student Organization designed for Computer Science and Mathematics Majors.

Math Bytes seeks to promote interest and research in the field of Applied and Computational mathematics. to stress the importance of mathematics in other related fields, such as computer science, computational finance, computational biology and engineering.

THINGS  HAPPENING : 

• Muffasir Badshah was invited to represent the SIAM Chapter at SIAM Annual Meeting of 2005 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

• Jessica Krain,  has been elected to be the President of Math-Bytes for the academic year of 2005-2006. Jessica is currently completing a summer internship at Lockheed Martin.

• Amal Aafif was supported by NSF to attend a mathematical modeling workshop at Rensalear Polytechnic Institute in June 2005

• Amal Aafif and Muffasir Badshah have been sponsored to go to Salt Lake City, Utah in July 2005 to present their research papers at JCIS.

• Emek Kose and Craig Lipkin have been sponsored  to attend a mathematical modeling workshop on industrial problems at North Carolina State University in July 2005.

• Peter James is doing research on mathematics education.

• Jason has been accepted to the PhD program at the Mathematics Department to do research on Financial Mathematics with Dr. Theodore Theodosopoulos.
