Maya is the completely student-run and -operated literary magazine at Drexel University.
Publishing
Maya publishes poetry, prose, short fiction & nonfiction pieces, as well as graphics, illustrations, photography and any kind of art. For more information on submitting your work, please see the Submissions tab. Drexel students seeking an outlet for their work should consider submitting to Maya or getting further involved. Maya is a completely free and nonprofit organization, so we're always looking for faces interested in writing, literature or art to contribute to our team.
Maya began publication at Drexel University more than forty years ago.
Maya remains an opportunity for creative freedom on Drexel's campus.
Joining Maya
If you are interested in submitting to Maya, contact dsomaya@drexel.edu for more details. You can be a member without submitting (and of course, you can submit without being on staff!). You will have the opportunity to attend editorial meetings and make decisions on the content or help with public relations, including designing the official flyers, advertisements and articles soliciting work and announcing activities. In addition to publishing a journal, Maya hosts poetry readings. For more information on poetry readings and other events, see the Events tab.
