Pendle Hill
The name of Pendle Hill symbolizes the call to
climb to spiritual heights through hard thinking and
spiritual discipline... to see deeper into the meaning of
life and farther out into the great world, and to come down
with a fresh zest for the service which reaches to
that of God in all.
Henry Hodgkin, Pendle Hill's first Director
The Library plays an important part in the lives of people at
Pendle Hill. Because education is envisioned as the
transforming of people and society, the programs (and Library)
offer the resources and time for integrated spiritual,
intellectual and personal learning.
