Tortillas and Lullabies/Tortillas y Cancioncitas

 These are all good answers!

Through line: With a partially extended arm, each of the three older women points toward the little girl. In this way, the illustrators used diagonal lines to draw the eye either toward or away from the protagonist.

Through size: The protagonist (lower right-hand portrait) is considerably smaller than the other three figures; hence, she stands out from the three more uniformly-sized women and might consequently become the focal point of the illustration. On the other hand, the illustrators may have simply wanted to portray her as child.

Through space: Since the protagonist (the little girl) is the smallest of the three figures, the background space of her portrait is the largest, serving either to frame her distinctly or to make her appear more isolated than the three older women.
