Below is a composite image of the server room.

All nodes run RedHat Linux (7.3 on syrinx and maelstrom, 9 on lamneth).  Each cluster has three networked APC MasterSwitch power distribution units (AP9211) each connected to its own networked UPS, which allow remote control of power to individual nodes and automatic safe shutdown in case of power outages in excess of 5 minutes.  syrinx and lamneth also have Cyclades terminal servers, which allow remote access to the console of any individual node.  maelstrom is equipped with an APC Environmental Monitoring Unit which continuously monitors temperature and humidity.  The room is equipped with 5 tons of cooling, off the normal climate control grid.  In the event of a cooling failure, the clusters automatically initiate emergency shutdown procedures.  A fourth host, bytor, is a terabyte RAID server.
