Items:

All these sun photometers measure aerosol optical thickness at green and red wavelengths, as described in the GLOBE Aerosol Protocol. Assembled instruments are aligned and calibrated for immediate use.
Note: The DB25 connector and leads from the rotary switch are still included with Item #4, but no connections are made to the connector. This reflects the fact that this computer connection has almost never been used in the field, and the original connections for a specific analog-to-digital interface are now used only on IESRE's own reference instruments used for calibrations. Contact IESRE prior to ordering if you have specific uses for the DB25 connector.

ItemUnit PriceHow many?
Item 1. Basic two-channel sun photometer$75
__
This instrument requires an external voltmeter, which connects to the instrument through standard pin jacks on the side of the case.
Item 2. Kelvin 50LE digital multimeter$10
__
This is an inexpensive general-purpose digital multimeter that, despite its low price, appears suitable for use with the basic two-channel sun photometer. You can also order this multimeter directly (see www.kelvin.com .)
Item 3. Kit of parts for basic two-channel sun photometer$35
__
When assembled, this instrument is equivalent to the basic two-channel sun photometer (item 1). It must be returned to IESRE for calibration before it can be used to enter aerosol data into the GLOBE database. (There is no charge for calibration.) A voltmeter is not included. Construction details are available on the Web at http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~brooksdr/DRB_web_page/construction/sunphotometer/photometer_V3.htm
Item 4. Sun photometer with built-in digital panel meter and temperature sensor $135
__
This calibrated instrument has two sunlight apertures rather than one, but is otherwise equivalent to item 1, with the addition of:
    a. a built-in digital panel meter (does not require an external voltmeter),
    b. a built-in sensor that monitors air temperature near the LED detectors,
    c. a rotary channel-select switch for monitoring the green or red channel, or the temperature,
    d. a 3.5mm output jack for external monitoring of the instrument output,
    e. a standard DB25 plug, unused, for future datalogging applications.
Item 5. Pyranometer kit $20, ($19 each, 5-9 kits; $18 each, 10 or more kits) including shipping in U.S.
__
This kit must be calibrated after assembly.
Item 5a. Calibration for pyranometer kit $40, including return shipping in U.S.
Please ask about price breaks for calibrating more than one instrument at the same time.
__
This kit must be calibrated after assembly.
Item 6. Assembled and calibrated pyranometer $75, including shipping in U.S.
__
Assembled pyranometers are calibrated again a PYR-P pyranometer from Apogee Instruments, Inc.
Item 7. bare cable for pyranometer, kit or assembled no charge
__
The standard cable provided with the kit or assembled pyranometer is about 50 cm long and is terminated with a 2.5-mm stereo plug for input to an Onset Computer Corporation USB data logger. If you are using a different kind of logger, you can request a 1-m long cable with no plug.
SHIPPING (no charge for pyranometers, kit or assembled)
