The Carpathians Mountains are more then 2500m
altitude, glacial lakes, mysterious woods, strange rocks, amazing
caves and gorges. God arranged this relief in a perfect harmony and people was grateful, placing beautiful
villages and towns, churches and monasteries, some well-known around the world, all in the same harmony with nature.;
Also Romania means 244 km Black Sea Coast line, big rivers: Danube River, Tisa, Somes, Cris, Mures, Timis, Jiu, Olt,
Arges, Ialomita, Buzau, Siret, Prut; many lakes (naturals or artificial), situated in very picturesque places. One of
the biggest artificial lake in Europe is " Portile de Fier(The Iron Gates)" on Danube River. The abundance of vegetation,
flora and fauna is everywhere. The biggest colony of pelicans and the higher density of birds from Europe are in Danube
Delta. The oldies forests from Europe are in Rarau Mountains.
The climate is temperate - continental with four seasons: winter, spring, summer, fall. Winter is a chord season with snow, winds and temperature under 0° C. Is time for ski and other winter sports. Spring means flowers, rains, but in the mountains spring comes later, in may. Summer is the best season for trips: sunny days, short rains, flowers, birds and beach warm. Fall is the season of colors. Great for trekking in the nature. The markets are full with natural food.
