The Cell Imaging Center (CIC) is a state-of-the-art facility serving the research needs of the Department of Biology. The Center was founded under the leadership of Biology faculty and CIC Director Dr. Elias Spiliotis and through joint funds and instrumentation from Drs. Daniel Marenda (CIC Co-Director), Nianli Sang, the Department of Biology and the late Dr. Mary K. Howett. In 2011, the Cell Imaging Center relocated to to a dedicated purpose-built imaging suite on the 4th floor of the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building. In face of a growing demand for imaging applications, CIC is currently undertaking efforts to expand its instrumentation and services.
