SSM Internet's second release of Vocaloid 2 came shortly after Megurine Luka of Crypton.  Megpoid, also known as GUMI, is voiced by recent J-Pop hit artist Megumi Nakajima, who played Ranka Lee in her debut role in the recent Anime Macross Frontier.  Her character is very similar to Ranka Lee, who also has green hair and tends to love colors in the range of yellow and orange.  Considered to be Gackpoid's little sister, she tends to shower him with affection more than is normal for a sister to.  Megpoid sports a stage performance dress with a yellow mesh midriff, dangling wrist cuffs, and a pair of red goggles that are combined with her headphones.  Her signature food item is a carrot.

Though she was much better received initially than Gakupo, GUMI has yet to reach the hit status of the other Vocaloids.  She has yet to have a number one single on NicoNicoDouga, or a stable song residing within the countdown for more than a handfull of weeks.  Her more-refined vocal library and style has made her a Vocaloidism staff-favorite.
