One of the first Vocaloids to be released in Japan, KAITO's voice library was compatible with Vocaloid version 1. When version 2 was released, the reverse compatibility allowed his true potential to take shape.  KAITO is best described as a 20 year old male who can reach many high octaves that normal singers cannot reach.  He wears a jacket with khaki pants, and his ever-present scarf.  KAITO is often seen with some type of ice cream on or around his person.

Music from KAITO artists are all across the board, from acapella to heavy metal.  His solo performances are best exhibited as covers of existing works such as The Girl In Byakkoya and Dear ~You~.  Original works that have taken to canon are partnerships with other voices, such as with Hatsune Miku in Cantarella, or Kagamine Len and Kamui Gakupo in IMITATION BLACK and its sequels.
