Most of us have just a few scant weeks of vacation time each year, and we struggle to make the most of them. Unfortunately, with all the itinerary planning, the hours spent packing and traveling, and the stress of leaving one's job and home unattended for more than a day at a time, vacationing can produce more stress than it is meant to alleviate. The cruelty of the modern vacation is that it is often not a vacation at all. I have designed this site because I believe that a vacation should be just what it claims to be: a break from the rest of your life, a time to relax and simply enjoy the world around you.
Under Vacation Ideas can be found a few different examples of vacation destinations that encourage stress reduction and relaxation. The Resources page provides a list of useful links to help reduce the stress of vacation planning and books to inspire a lazy vacationing attitude.
