Objective:    Design a dormitory for approximately 50 Drexel University students on the given site of 34th Street and Lancaster Avenue.  The dorm must provide certain spaces accessible to the public as well as the residents.

Response:  I wanted the shape of the dorm to respond to the shape of the site, while providing an public exterior space.  The publicly accessible areas of the program are on the entrance level, yet only residents can access the suites on the upper 3 floors.  The common areas for the residents are trays which project out over the entrance space, creating an open volume behind the glass walls.
