INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HEAT TRANSFER, BEIJING, CHINA August
12-16, 2000
-
- Organized by:
- The Institute for Thermal Science and
Engineering
- Tsinghua University, Beijing, China
-
- Theme:
-
- Rapid advances in processing techniques, significant
improvements in analytical techniques and an awareness of
environmental factors require that the heat transfer community
achieve significant improvements in the transfer and utilization
of energy to facilitate application of advanced technologies in
nearly all fields. The four previous International Symposiums on
Heat Transfer in Beijing, which began in 1985, enhanced the
international dissemination of recent advances in heat transfer
research.
- A large number of papers were presented describing significant
advances in heat transfer research from around the world. The
papers were also published as the Hemisphere Publishing series
HEAT TRANSFER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY edited by Prof. B.X. Wang.
The International Organizing Committee seeks to continue the
valuable international exchange of new information and ideas in
the heat transfer field for the 21st century by organizing the
INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HEAT TRANSFER in Beijing every four
years.

4th International
Conference on Multiphase Flows (ICMF)
- The 4th International Conference on Multiphase Flows (ICMF)
will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The dates of the
Conference are May 27 to June 1, 2001.
-
HEAT
TRANSFER 2000
- 26- 28 June 2000 in Madrid, Spain.
- OBJECTIVES
- This Conference is the sixth in the series entitled "Advanced
Computational Methods in Heat Transfer" and follows the success of
the previous conferences held in Portsmouth, Milan, Southampton,
Udine and Cracow.
-
- The continuing objective of the whole series is to provide a
forum for the presentation of new approaches to the numerical
solutions of heat transfer problems. Methods of interest include
all well established and efficient numerical techniques like
finite differences, finite volume, finite elements and boundary
elements. Special attention is paid to complex thermal problems
from engineering practice.
-
- Heat Transfer 2000 is of importance to all scientists and
engineers who are actively involved in developing innovative
approaches, as well as in solving a variety of industrial
problems.
-
- The Conference is sponsored by the Developments in Heat
Transfer Book Series edited by Prof Sunden and the corresponding
Editorial Board which acts as Committee Members for the
Conference.

1986. Its eight edition, organized by the Department of Mechanical
Engineering - PROMEC of the Federal University of Rio Grande do
Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, builds on the previous success of the
event. This conference addresses some of the recent advances in
thermal sciences and has traditionally
- attracted high quality papers, covering many different areas
of interest.
