| M.S. in
Environmental Policy
This M.S. program provides a comprehensive,
multi-disciplinary approach to the development, implementation, and
evaluation of environmental policy.
The goal of the program is to graduate policy analysts who have a
strong commitment to environmental values, are scientifically and
methodologically competent, and can work effectively in the democracy
policy process with the various groups and institutions engaged in
environmental issues. To meet these requirements, we aim to provide
our graduates with a range of coursework that provides: knowledge
of how policies are developed and implemented, the scientific and
engineering basis of effective environmental policies, and an understanding
of who the major environmental political actors are and how to work
with them to accomplish environmental improvement.
Entrance Requirements
In addition to the general
entrance requirements for all applicants,
entrance to the M.S. Program in Environmental Policy requires a
Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, or a B.S. degree
in the natural, physical, or social sciences, or related engineering
disciplines, along with additional course work as specified in the
table below. Drexel University students completing a B.S. in Environmental
Science in the Environmental Policy Option will have met all of
the prerequisites for this program. Students entering from other
programs at Drexel University or other institutions may be required
to complete additional course work to meet the course prerequisites
for the required courses.
