Seeing Eye Shopper
This project will enhance the B.A.S.S. project of 2006 and attempt to create a shopping experience for a blind person. This project will incorporate the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to help manage inventory. This project involves the creation of computer programs which explore other uses for RFID technology. For example, the technology can allow a blind person to navigate a store by giving verbal directions as he or she walks down the aisles of the store. The project will include developing a system in C# to interact with barcode readers, sensors, human speech and will incorporate the use of Bluetooth audio.
