Saori’s studies focus on the expression of E2F and p53 targets in the brain of HIV-infected patients. She is also investigating the role of these cell cycle proteins in an in vitro model of HIV neurodegeneration - using neuronal cultures from E2F1 deficient mice, GeneArrays and RNAi. Saori joined the lab in February 2004.
