Jackie is one of the PhD students of the Pharmacology and Physiology program, who joined the lab in the summer of 2006. She is interested in the role of cell cycle regulated kinases in HIV neuropathology, and she is currently using shRNA to knock down expression of cdc2 in neuronal cells in order to determine whether this protein kinaseis essential to HIV-induced neurotoxicity.
