We always have need for PhD scientists with a
strong background in synthetic orgainc chemistry,
ideally those who have worked on "natural
product synthesis". Experience has taught
that polymer chemistry and photochemistry are
NOT training for the type of work we do, as the
exposure to a wide variety of synthetic-chemistry
is not typically part of such training.
We have a position for a PhD physiologist or
neuroscientist to do 2-photon imaging of Ca dynamics
in vivo in the cortex of mice. The Haydon
lab has been perfecting these techniques over
the past year, and we have colleagues at Drexel
who study nicotine addiction, Alzheimer's disease
and ALS. We want to combine our own skills in
organic chemistry and 2-photon imaging with the
available mouse models to explore how these diseases
disrupt cortical Ca dynamics in vivo.
Please apply by email giving a
1. list of publications
2. names, phone numbers and emails of 3 references
3. your own phone number and best time to call
4. your visa status and requirements.
Post-9/11 our University requires that we make
a security background check all employees before
any formal job offer can be made.
